If a problem could be solved by getting worried about it, then there would be no problems in the world at all. Because the first thing that most of the people do when they think they are in trouble, is worry.

We all know that it is impossible not to worry when we are face to face with a problem. Because it is human nature to reject, question or fear anything that is not normal. It is this part of human nature that makes a student become tensed up when he does not get the expected result for a problem or an experiment.

Also, worrying puts a lot of stress on the brain and reduces its capacity to think and reason. In today’s world, worry and anxiety are one of the most widespread mental conditions that affect human beings.

In short, we cannot help worrying about a problem. If we worry, we cannot function. And if we do not function properly, it will lead to more worry. Isn’t this a cause of worry as well! So what is the solution?

The answer lies in an age old quote, ‘everybody falls, what matters is how fast you can get up.’

The same principle must be applied to our worrying as well. It is true that our first reaction to a problem is worry. We cannot help it. But what we can do is slowly bring our mind to concentrate on the solution instead of the problem.

After the initial few seconds of tension, we must try and focus on all the advantages that we have in the situation. Focus on using the advantages to the fullest while keeping the disadvantages in a small corner of the memory.

This is called ‘Plus-Factor Tackling’. In other words, we tackle a problem by concentrating on the ‘positives’ of the situation. It helps to give a boost to your confidence and allows you to think with clarity and cool mind.

What important is the lessons that we can learn from the problems. These are what will determine success in future. We must not expect a problem to occur at every instance. But we must be prepared and ready to face anything that comes our way.

We have to choose whether we have to be strong or weakened by the problems. Some people think of problems as barriers to their success. These people cannot help worrying. Others think of them as challenges that they need to simply tackle and cross. Such people have no worries in life, for they are willing to face anything.
